Public schools are cutting enrichment programs throughout the country. Gym, Art, Music, even Recess are all going the way of the dinosaur. It's tragic and wrong, but that's for another blog. It's enrichment education because music stimulates different parts of the brain than math or history, so the children actually get better grades (it's a proven fact that children who perform music, and learn to read and write music increase their IQs too!)
