B2B ( Business-to-Business) Consulting. You've been in corporate forever - you know how it works. Now you want to own your own business, but stay in that B2B niche. Why? Because that's where your circle of influence is. You've built up a strong reputation, you have name recognition and, you are really great with business people in the business environment. Can you own your own small business in and amongst the sharks? You bet!

There's a trap.
If you think you can be successful by just hanging a shingle outside your front door and be an independent consultant, know that you are 1 in a million, you are no different from the guy living right next door. It's a tough row to hoe and 90% of these consultants have failed by year 5. Then, they are back looking for a J.O.B. with a 5 yr. gap in their resume. Not a good plan.
But, if you hitch your skills to a name brand, a company that has been consulting with businesses for decades, and you train exclusively to bring their successful strategies to corporations, you'll be busy. You'll use your honed skill set and won't be wasting time designing your personal website, writing curriculum from scratch, making copies, or competing for the same business that your neighbor is pursuing. If you claim to be a savvy, smart business leader, act like one! Make smart choices from the start.
